Gravity Shift Blocks: Plan for the Flip

Understand falling pieces, landing previews and the column collapse after a clear.

The clear is only half the move
Fill a complete horizontal row to clear it. Every clearing move reverses gravity once, even when it clears several rows.

Read the landing preview
The faint piece shows where your current shape will land. Move left or right before dropping. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys and Space. On a phone, use the buttons below the board.

What moves after a flip?
Settled blocks compact toward the new gravity edge within each column. Empty gaps inside a column disappear. Blocks do not slide sideways into neighboring columns.

Leave room at both ends
After a flip, the next piece enters from the opposite side. Filling only one edge without considering the next entry can quickly end a run.

A simple practice routine
Play Gravity Shift Blocks. First learn to clear one row. Then focus on leaving an opening for the piece after the reversal.
